Final chance for Invincibile

Kilmarnock forward Danny Invincibile is hopeful of recovering from a groin injury in time to feature in his side's CIS Insurance Cup final against Hibernian on March 18.

The 27-year-old Australian has been sidelined since mid-January by a groin problem, but is now happier that his rehabilitation is gathering pace.

He told The Scotsman: "It's been a slow, tedious process but I'm on schedule to be back in action a week before the final.

"I've been working to a system which was recommended by the surgeons and everything seems to be going well.

"So far I'm on schedule. Next week I hope to start jogging and if that goes well, I should be able to complete the six-week rehab programme a week before the final."
