Fernandez might hang up his boots

Veteran Spanish striker David Fernandez is considering quitting football following his release from Kilmarnock.[LNB] Fernandez, who has spent 10 years playing in Scotland since joining Airdrie in 2000, is set to return home to ponder his future.[LNB]The 34-year-old said in the Scottish Sun: "I am going home on June 1 and I will think about my future. It might be that I will quit football.[LNB]"I don't have any big plans at the moment so I will think about what the best thing is for my family.[LNB]"I will listen to anyone who calls me but right now I am packing to go back to Spain. That is the only thing on my mind right now.[LNB]"I have been away from home for 10 years but now I am going to speak to family and friends to see what is the best thing for me. I just want to enjoy my holiday as things have been busy. Then I'll make what will be a big decision."
