Calderwood 'offered' Killie post

Calderwood has held talks with chairman Michael Johnston in the wake of the departure of Jim Jefferies on Monday.[LNB]The ex-Dunfermline boss could now take charge in time for Saturday's Scottish Premier League visit of Motherwell.[LNB]Calderwood, who has been out of work since leaving Aberdeen in May, told the Scottish Daily Express: "I have had a meeting with Kilmarnock and they have offered me the manager's position.[LNB]"The talks were very positive and I have a lot of things to think about. Kilmarnock want a quick decision and I have promised to give them an answer.[LNB]"If I am going to take the job, I will be taking training on Friday and the match with Motherwell on Saturday."[LNB]Johnston has also spoken with Queen of the South manager Gordon Chisholm and former Motherwell boss Tommy McLean, while George Burley was reported to be in the frame.[LNB][LNB]
