Kilmarnock manager Jimmy Calderwood hit out at the "lazy" defending which plunged the club further into SPL relegation trouble on Saturday.[LNB] St Johnstone came from behind to win 2-1 against Killie at Rugby Park.[LNB]Frazer Wright's diving header gave Killie a deserved 38th-minute lead after Craig Bryson and then Kevin Kyle had headed the ball on following one of nine first-half corners for the hosts.[LNB]But Kenny Deuchar headed home Murray Davidson's cross from close range a minute before the interval and Saints took control of possession before Collin Samuel volleyed home the winner 15 minutes from the end.[LNB]Only a late equaliser for St Mirren at Falkirk prevented Kilmarnock from falling bottom of the Scottish Premier League but the Bairns joined them on 29 points with the pair's final-day meeting looking set to be a relegation decider.[LNB]Calderwood said: "I thought the first 45 minutes we absolutely dominated a good team. It was brave from young Bryson at the goal, he broke his nose getting there and Frazer scored.[LNB]"I couldn't see them getting back into it but a minute before half-time, at such a crucial time, Samuel knocked it back to Davidson and we're standing. We don't come out, we're too lazy. He's two yards from goal.[LNB]"We've got boys breaking noses trying to get a goal and they are standing two yards from goal onside because our boys are too lazy to get out.[LNB]"The second one they score from 10 yards and we're battering away trying to get anything. It's just sloppiness, it's laziness, they have got to get on to each other."[LNB]Calderwood, who takes his players to former club Aberdeen on Wednesday, added: "We stopped doing the things we should be doing, getting it from side to side, and started launching it up to big Kevin. That was disappointing.[LNB]"But they gave everything again and didn't get the breaks. However bad it may, we still have it in our own hands."[LNB]St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes was delighted with his side's character as they extended their unbeaten run to four matches.[LNB]"The last four games we have had to come from behind," McInnes said. "The last two games before this we haven't been at our best but we have still shown enough spirit, and it's the spirit that has managed to get us a couple of points at home.[LNB]"But I thought the second half was the reason why we're not involved in the relegation battle. We took far more responsibility and asked questions, whereas the first half was a nothing game."[LNB]McInnes, whose side travel to Falkirk on Wednesday, added: "We managed to get ourselves safe before the split, which is great testament to the players, but we knew the games we faced had a lot riding on them and, if our approach wasn't right, we wouldn't get anything.[LNB]"We have still got an obligation to our club and supporters to keep winning games and we don't want to undo our good work by letting the season peter out."
