    Adams finally undergoes op

    25 Feb 2009 - 13:07:06

Kilmarnock midfielder Jamie Adams is set for surgery on a serious knee injury which has sidelined him since the end of August.

The 21-year-old midfielder damaged cruciate ligaments while on loan at Queen of the South, but has been forced to endure a lengthy wait before finally going under the knife.

He told the Daily Record: "When I initially suffered the injury the surgeon said it would require two ops.

"Firstly I had to have a bone graft and that took a few months to heal, but I hope to be back in about nine months.

"It is better taking time with this to make sure it is done right and won't go again. I'm still only 21 and have a lot of time left in my career."
