Valiants aim for promotion

Chairman Bill Bratt has revealed Port Vale will be one of the biggest spenders in terms of wages among League One teams next season.
Valiants boss Martin Foyle has been handed a wage budget of more than £1.4million as he looks to win promotion to the Championship.
"We should be capable of it now," said Bratt, referring to the possibility of promotion.
"I, along with another board member, Peter Jackson, went to the chairmen's conference and canvassed a lot of clubs in the division to see what their wage rolls were for the players only.
"We are very favourably placed with the majority of clubs in our division.
"Obviously we can't touch the Leeds Uniteds and Nottingham Forests, but we're over halfway."
Five players - Marc Richards, Shane Tudor, Justin Miller, Paul Edwards and Craig Rocastle - have all arrived after agreeing two-year contracts so far this summer, while Keith Lowe has joined on a season-long loan from Wolves.
