Harriers seal McGrath deal

Kidderminster Harriers boss Stuart Watkiss has moved to strengthen his relegation-threatened squad with the free transfer signing of Doncaster midfielder John McGrath.

The 24-year-old was out of the first-team picture at Rovers and spent two months on loan at Harriers' League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town earlier in the campaign.

The ex-Aston Villa trainee is expected to go straight into Watkiss' side to face Macclesfield Town on Saturday.

McGrath is the seventh signing of Watkiss' short reign at Aggborough, but his spending isn't over yet and he is believed to be close to completing a deal to sign Wrexham's Dean Bennett.
