Matthew Barnes-Homer scored the winner and created two goals as Kidderminster came from behind to beat Gateshead.A 30-yard Alex Francis strike put the visitors ahead but Harriers equalised when Barnes-Homer's cross was headed into his own net by Chris Swailes. Brian Smikle fired the home side ahead only for the visitors to level through Kris Gate's superb volley. But Barnes-Homer secured the win for the Harriers with a close-range finish with ten minutes remaining. Kidderminster assistant manager Neil Howarth told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "There was a lot of good play at times throughout the game but there are still a lot of things to work on. "I don't think we looked particularly solid as a unit defensively and that is not necessarily only the defenders. "But there was a lot of good play at times and it was a good three points but could do better."
