Lincoln City boss John Schofield is hopeful of turning Nottingham Forest defender Nicky Eaden's stay at Sincil Bank into a permanent deal in January's transfer window.
The 33-year-old, who joined the Imps in August, has made eight appearances so far and is all set to make his 500th league start against Barnet this weekend.
Schofield told the Imps' website: "He goes back to Forest in November but then returns for another month's loan in December.
"We can hopefully think about signing him on a permanent basis in January."
He added: "Nicky is a true professional and has come into the club with the right attitude, which has rubbed off on the young players."
