Tusker were crowned Kenyan league champions on Saturday after pipping holders Ulinzi Stars by a single point on the final day of the competition.

Tusker beat Congo United 1-0 to win their 10th national league title. They ended their 30-game season with 58 points from a loss of only six matches to hand former international defender Sam Omollo his first title as a coach.

Ulinzi also won 3-0 at home to Rangers, but it was not enough and ended up taking the runner-up spot on 57 points, ahead of the 2009 champions Sofapaka, who finished five points adrift on third place. Gor Mahia were fourth.
