Trezeguet quits internationals

Juventus striker David Trezeguet has announced his retirement from international football. France coach Raymond Domenech left the 30-year-old out his squad for last month's European Championships in Austria and Switzerland. "The awful Euros and the confirmation of the coach have led me to this irreversible decision," said Trezeguet. The former AS Monaco forward found the net 34 times in 71 games for his country. His international highlight came at Euro 2000 when he scored the golden goal winner for France in the Final against Italy.
