Trezeguet commits to Juve

Juventus striker David Trezeguet has put an end to speculation over his immediate future by pledging to remain in Turin for the upcoming campaign.

The 31-year-old France striker has been strongly linked with a switch to AC Milan in recent days, but Trezeguet is eager to complete a decade of service with Juve.

He told the club's official website: "I am definitely staying at Juventus for the whole season. After ten years in Turin I don't think it is right to leave now.

"I have spoken a lot, also with my family, and the best solution is to stay at Juventus. This year I will celebrate the ten years I have spent in Bianconero, it's an extraordinary achievement for a foreign player.

"I owe a lot to this club because they have given me a lot on a professional and personal level, just as I have done a lot for this team.

"I am a very important person in the history of Juventus and to go to Milan would have felt like a betrayal towards the club and towards my team-mates."
