With the player turning down a new contract offer from Liverpool reportedly worth £100,000-a-week the player is naturally being considered by some of Europe’s biggest clubs with the Serie A champions now allegedly keeping tabs on the player.

The report in the Mail suggests that the huge £55million fee they are demanding from anyone enquiring after the availability of their midfield talisman Pogba would be used to bolster their attack with Sterling being monitored.

The 20-year-old has confirmed that he has turned down a new contract which he says is not about the money and despite Ian Ayre insisting the player will not be sold he is being sized-up by a variety of clubs both in the Premier League and Europe.

The Mail states that offers of up to £50million are expected in the coming weeks with Sterling and his advisors telling Liverpool they are looking to delay talks regarding a new contract until the close season with two years still to run on his current deal.

Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been reported to have had an interest in the young Englishman but it remains to be seen who will make the first solid approach for the player.
