Ranieri wins Juve backing

Under-pressure coach Claudio Ranieri has been backed to continue at the helm of Juventus by club director Jean-Claude Blanc.

The Italian's future has come in for debate following Juve's erratic start to the season as they currently lie 11th in Serie A after winning just two of their six opening league games.

But Blanc is confident the experienced Ranieri is the right man to take the Turin club forward.

"I understand the concerns of the fans but we will not make a coaching change," he told the club's official website.

"We have complete trust in Ranieri just as the president said on Sunday. I can confirm that 100 per cent.

"With Ranieri, with his coaching staff, with the medical staff, we will analyse the situation in order to find solutions to see Juve return to be the team that we saw at the end of August."
