    Poulsen adds to Juve problems

    12 Jan 2010 - 07:03:48

Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen is expected to be sidelined for a month after breaking a fibula in his left leg during Sunday's 3-0 defeat to AC Milan.

The Denmark international's injury was confirmed by a scan on Monday and is the latest problem to affect the Juve squad.

Last week, veteran France international striker David Trezeguet sustained an ankle injury that will keep him out of action for at least a month while Vincenzo Iaquinta, Mauro Camoranesi, Sebastian Giovinco and Gianluigi Buffon are also all currently sidelined.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Christian Poulsen will play no football for a month.

"The Dane, who had to be substituted in the second half of the game against Milan, has suffered a compound fracture of the fibula in his left leg.

"The limb will subsequently be treated with physiotherapy. The midfielder could return to action in about 30 days."
