Paul Pogba: Europe's most sought-after prospect

Rumours have surfaced this week that Juventus’ wonder kid Paul Pogba could be on the move again come January. Juve President Andrea Agnelli has stated that a big offer for the French midfielder would be hard to resist for the Turin club.

The President’s comments have sparked interest around Europe including Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and even Chelsea who currently have eleven midfielder's in the first team squad.

It was only last summer the 20-year-old left Manchester after his relationship with Sir Alex went sour and claimed that the return of Paul Scholes froze out any chances of playing regularly at Old Trafford. Ferguson was always reluctant to lose young stars but he quickly shifted Pogba and Ravel Morrison whose personalities clashed with the record-breaking Scotsman.

Since leaving England, Pogba has really excelled in Italy nailing down a regular starting position towards the end of last season and enjoying a continued spell this campaign. In his seven league appearances this season he has assisted 4 times and his market value is now believed to be around £22 million.

Training and playing with Andrea Pirlo day in day out can only have benefited the young Frenchman who is developing into a top quality centre-midfielder. Competition is fierce in the centre of Juventus’ midfield which includes Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal so if they did decide to part with the Frenchman there is plenty of cover.

It’s clear the Old Lady want to keep their star asset and Pogba has expressed his desire to stay, however a substantial offer could see a change of scenery for the promising French international.
