Cristian Pasquato's first-half goal was enough to give Italian club Juventus a 1-0 victory over Mexican side Club America on Tuesday in a rain-delayed friendly.
Juventus played 15 minutes of the second half with 10 men after Claudio Marchisio limped off with a bruised left chin caused by a sliding tackle.
The severity of the injury was not immediately known.
After three near-misses, Juventus broke through in the 42nd minute, when Pasquato seized on a poor clearance from Club America goalkeeper Armando Navarrete and found the top corner.
Club America, who played a Mexican League match on Sunday, substituted six players at halftime and all 11 by the 79th minute.
