Midfielder Simone Padoin signed for Serie A leaders Juventus in a five million euro move from Atalanta on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old, who trained pre-season with Juve a couple of seasons ago, has signed a five-year deal.

The Serie A leaders will also have to fork out an extra one million euros if they qualify for the Champions League this season.

Padoin began his career with Vicenza before moving back to Atalanta, where he had played his youth football, in 2007.

Meanwhile former Italy forward Vincenzo Iaquinta has left the Old Lady of Turin to join Cesena on loan until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old was a member of Italy's World Cup winning squad in 2006 and has won 40 caps but since suffering a serious injury at the end of 2009 has been unable to force his way back into the Juve side.
