Melo delighted with Juventus life
01 Nov 2010 - 17:19:23
Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has admitted life under manager Luigi Del Neri is proving prosperous this term.
The Serie A giants are up to fourth in the table after their fine 2-1 victory at AC Milan on Saturday and the Brazilian is very happy with the way things are turning out in Turin.
He has also paid special praise to veteran front man Alessandro Del Piero after his goal in the San Siro victory saw him break Juventus' all-time goalscoring record in Serie A.
The goal, which proved to be the winner, was his 179th in the top-flight and Melo has confessed that he idolises the 35-year-old.
"Del Neri's Juventus is like a family, we are all united, on the pitch and out of it," he said.
"Keeping this continuity, I want to do well at Juve, to become an idol for all supporters and restart playing for my national team.
"Del Piero is my idol. Just think that when I'm on Brazilian social networks everybody ask me of him, because also in my country he is a very famous champion. If I were the Chairman, I'd make him sign a lifetime agreement, he is great."
