Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri goes into Wednesday's game against Frosinone hoping his players can use their first win in Serie A at the weekend as a launch pad for another title run.

Juve beat Genoa 2-0 on Sunday and are behind Inter Milan in the championship race with the Nerazzurri having prevailed in all four of their matches for the first time since the 2002-03 campaign.

Inter won 1-0 at Chievo on Sunday and climbed two points clear of nearest rivals Torino at the top of the standings.

Juve are eight points adrift.

Roberto Mancini's Inter have the best defence in the division, with just one goal conceded.

"Inter are solid and a candidate for the final victory," Allegri said to Italian TV station Mediaset. "The Scudetto is determined by the standings, and they have won four games.

"They are doing well and have a strong team.

"Inter are the first candidates alongside Roma and Juventus for the league title."

Inter host winless Hellas Verona on Wednesday.

Frosinone, playing for the first time in Italy's top flight, have yet to clinch a point.

Torino will be looking to keep up the pressure on Inter when they visit Chievo in Verona.

The Granata are unbeaten and have won three of their opening four games.

Sampdoria were Torino's latest victims, falling 2-0 on Sunday to concede their first loss of the campaign.

Samp take on a Roma side in Genoa that was held to a 2-2 draw against Sassuolo last time out.

Sassuolo are unbeaten and level on eight points with the Romans heading into their game at Palermo in Sicily.

Palermo, meanwhile, lost for the first time this season when they fell 3-2 at AC Milan on Saturday.

Fiorentina will look to make it three league wins in a row when they take on Bologna in Florence on Wednesday.

Bologna head into the contest on the back of a 1-0 triumph over Frosinone, their first success of the campaign.

Napoli halted a four-match winless run in Serie A in style by thrashing Lazio 5-0 on Sunday at the San Paolo stadium.

The Naples outfit is away to newly-promoted Carpi.

Lazio seek home comforts when they square off against Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Biancoceleste have won all two of their games in Rome, losing their opening two away games.

AC Milan will be hoping Carlos Bacca can pick up where he left off in Saturday's game against Palermo when his team visits Udinese on Tuesday.

The Colombian striker scored twice to help the Rossoneri beat Palermo 3-2.

Empoli have not won at their Carlo Castellani stadium since April 30.

They host Atalanta on Thursday.
