Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie has committed his long-term future to the club by penning a one-year extension to his current contract which will keep him at the Stadio Olimpico until the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
The 31-year-old former Chievo player has spent the last five years in Turin, with his recent good form earning him a recall to the Italy side for the 2-0 victory against Georgia after a four-year absence.
"It gives me immense joy that I can continue to wear this shirt," said Legrottaglie.
"This extension is a show of faith from the club and I am delighted to commit my future to the Bianconeri."
Legrottaglie is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a thigh injury in Tuesday's Champions League draw at BATE Borisov.
