Juve: No pressure on Sissoko

Juventus are refusing to put pressure on Mali to allow midfielder Mohamed Sissoko to return to Italy in the wake of Friday's terrorist attack on the Togo team that left three people dead.

Togo have since decided to leave Angola and will not take part in the Africa Cup of Nations, while several clubs have called for their players to be released by their countries following the atrocity.

Juve will not follow that path though, with a statement from the Turin-based club reading: "We do not plan to put pressure on the Mali Federation nor on Momo Sissoko so that the player returns early from the African Nations Cup.

"We will constantly monitor the situation, both regarding his safety and his physical condition, given that he is recovering from an injury."
