Ferrara sounds battle-cry

Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara believes his side are ready to narrow the gap on Internazionale at the top of the Serie A table when they get back to domestic action.

The international break has given midfield pairing Mohamed Sissoko and Claudi Marchisio time to recover from injury and, with these two back in contention, Ferrara will have an even stronger squad to choose from ahead of next weekend's clash with Udinese.

Speaking to Il Corriere dello Sport, he said: "Our morale is very good, at least with the players who have been working with me.

"I hope it's the same with the national team players when they return, so we can dive full force back into the championship and address the matches ahead.

"It will be an important week for Marchisio and Sissoko, because both have worked with the team, but not at full speed.

"Therefore it will be crucial to see what they can do ahead of the challenge against Udinese."
