Ferrara impressed by Poulsen

Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara has praised Denmark international Christian Poulsen and told the midfielder that he has secured a future with the club.

Twenty-nine-year-old Poulsen had been expected to leave Juve this summer, having been linked with the likes of Fulham, Liverpool and Fenerbahce.

However, after Cristiano Zanetti left Turin to join Fiorentina, Ferrara has placed renewed faith in the Scandinavian.

He confirmed: "Cristiano Zanetti was given the chance to join Fiorentina and secure a new contract.

"But we have enough cover, especially as Poulsen will now stay.

"He has worked hard in training and worked seriously, to the point when I complimented him for his professionalism during our retreat in Pinzolo."
