Diego linked with Germany return

Wolfsburg have confirmed that they are in talks with Juventus, with Brazilian playmaker Diego the reported focus of the discussions.

The 25-year-old South American only joined the Turin giants a year ago, but has already been linked with a return to Germany, where he had previously enjoyed success with Werder Bremen.

Wolves general manager Dieter Hoeness told Wolfsburger Nachrichten: "I have been in talks with representatives of Juventus.

"I am, however, not prepared to make any statement on the contents of these discussions."

Diego has been mentioned as a possible makeweight in Juve's bid to try and prise Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko away from Wolfsburg.
