Diego happy with Juve display

Juventus star Diego has hailed his team following Thursday's fine Europa League last-32 first-leg win against Ajax.

The Italian giants will face the Dutch side at Stadio Olimpico with a 2-1 advantage thanks to a brace from Diego's Brazilian compatriot Amauri after the Old Lady came from behind to grab the victory.

And the Bianconeri player lauded further praise on veteran striker and club captain Alessandro Del Piero.

Speaking to UEFA.com, he said: "Ajax have a very good team and the first chance they had, they scored, but we were very intelligent, and Amauri was perfect.

"Two or three chances and two beautiful goals - it was perfect for us. It was really hard. Ajax are a really strong team, especially at home, but we played very well.

"He's (Del Piero) been great in our last two games and that's really important for us. When he plays well, it is better for everybody."
