Del Piero responds to MLS talk

Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has responded to media rumours that have suggested he is to leave the club in the summer for a lucrative move to America's MLS.

The veteran frontman has been widely tipped to pen a deal with New York Red Bulls at the end of the current campaign but, with his deal still having a year to run, Del Piero has admitted he is going nowhere.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "Dear friends, with regards to the question that many of you have asked me in recent days, yes, it's true that this summer I will go to America but only on holiday.

"Then I will return, that is certain."
