Juventus skipper Alessandro Del Piero has spoken of his joy after his side beat Serie A table-toppers Internazionale 2-1 in Turin.

The win puts the Old Lady within five points of Jose Mourinho's men at the summit as the title chase hots up.

Juventus went into the game on the back of two successive defeats and the win now keeps them in touch with the Nerazzurri ahead of their vital Champions League clash against Bayern Munich in midweek.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he said: "This victory tastes really good, because of the result and the way we played.

"We wanted to give a response and managed it, rediscovering certain qualities that are fundamental to us.

"In spite of everything, it's important to get a result we really craved for."
