Del Piero not thinking about future

Juventus club captain Alessandro Del Piero says he has not yet thought about his future away from the club.

The 37-year-old has been at Juve since 1993 but club president Andrea Agnelli announced earlier this month that he would not be offered a new deal.

Del Piero then said he would not retire but he has yet to consider his options.

"We're going through such a great moment with Juve top of the league that I can't see why I should think about my future," said Del Piero.

"The future is Saturday (and the next game) and I don't want to think about what will happen from June onwards.

"Many people rubbed their eyes when I said I would play until I'm 40 but now that they're believing in me I'll have to go on to 42!

"I'll play for a few more years, football is my passion and I'm enjoying it.

"I'm thinking about myself from now until June, my brother (and agent) is looking after my future, it will be his problem.

"I'm not looking for anything, I just want to enjoy every single moment with Juventus from now until the end and then we'll see what happens."

Del Piero has won five league titles with Juve as well as the Champions League in 1996.

He is hoping for one more scudetto crown before he moves on and believes Sunday's 3-0 win over Palermo was a step in the right direction.

"We're top of the league and we've played a game less, we absorbed the long break well," he said.

"It's a very positive moment and to keep it going we must believe that we've done nothing yet.

"We have to play with hunger as we did (on Sunday)."
