Alessandro Del Piero says he has no intention of retiring as his 19-year association with Juventus draws to a close.
Del Piero scored in his final Serie A match for Juve in Sunday's 3-1 success against Atalanta.
He captained the side for the last time in Juve's home stadium and when he was substituted mid-way through the second half, he was giving a rapturous reception by team-mates and fans alike.
He may yet play once more in next weekend's Italian Cup final but after that, he will leave.
Although Juve have decided not to extend his current deal, 37-year-old Del Piero wants to keep going.
"I have my whole life to be (a club) official and I will do that," said Del Piero.
"I was born to play football, I'm fit and I want to continue doing so. England has a fantastic football climate but it's been 19 years since I've needed to think about a transfer."
Del Piero has been a bit-part player this season as others have been preferred to carry the flag but he says he has no problems with coach Antonio Conte, a former team-mate.
"We have an excellent relationship, I've known him for a long time. This year was not easy but I don't want to point fingers, I want to enjoy this moment," he added.
"The future is now."
