Conte has no special plans for Ibrahimovic

Juventus coach Antonio Conte says he has no special plans to try to thwart the threat of former player Zlatan Ibrahimovic when AC Milan come to town on Sunday.

Ibrahimovic spent two successful seasons with Juve from 2004 to 2006, winning the Serie A title in both seasons, although Juve were later stripped of both crowns for match-fixing.

The big Swede has since become a vital player for Milan and made a successful return from injury in midweek by scoring in the 2-0 Champions League victory over Viktoria Plzen.

His own coach Massimiliano Allegri then acknowledged that Milan are a different proposition with him in the team but Conte sees no reason to pay him special attention.

"I haven't considered man-marking him. Zlatan gives them something extra, he can score and create goals," said Conte.

"But on the field you line up against 11 players. I have total faith in (Juve centre-back Giorgio) Chiellini, he's important for us.

"He was given a hard time after (the 1-1 draw with) Catania but it is never a single person's fault when you concede a goal. He's a total guarantee as both a man and a footballer."

Milan may be the champions but Conte intends going at them and forcing the game.

"We have to control the game, this match will show us where we are. Our strength is our teamwork.

"We cannot change our mental approach, we have to force the game but we will study our opponents.

"We know that Milan are good on the ball and we want to see how we handle that.

"We have a lot of respect for them, they're the title favourites, they deserve respect but we don't fear anyone.

"If you're afraid you needn't even take to the field."
