Manchester City and Chelsea will be challenged by Serie A winners Juventus for the signing of Napoli hit-man Edinson Cavani.

City boss Mancini, is an admirer of the forward and Chelsea are looking for a striker to replace Didier Drogba. Juventus won the title last season without being prolific and are set to make and offer for the forward.

Juventus have a budget of £30m this summer for a striker this summer due to the amount of draws they achieved last season. Robin Van Persie, Luis Suarez and Carlos Tevez have all been linked with Juventus.

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Jueventus are set to offer Napoli a large sum along with one or potentially two players. Alessandro Matri is believed to be one of the players that could be exchanged as part of the deal. As Lavezzi is on the verge of signing for PSG, Napoli are reluctant to sell Cavani and will demand big money if he is to leave.
