Veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has admitted that he did not consider leaving Juventus this summer, despite being linked with a move to England.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City were linked with an interest in the 32-year-old, but the Italy stalwart is happy with his lot in Turin.
He told Sky Sport Italia: "I didn't reject any offer because I never even thought of leaving Juventus.
"When that intention isn't there, it's pointless to look at proposals or know someone is interested in you."
Meanwhile, Buffon is ready for a lengthy rehabilitation after being forced to undergo surgery on a herniated disc in his back which ended his World Cup campaign prematurely.
He added: "My back is much better. It has only been a few days since the operation, but the fact I can walk fairly well and have more strength in my left foot are comforting signs.
"It is such a delicate operation that you cannot afford to make long-term plans on the recovery. Let's just say that within 12 months I'll be back."
