Beating Juventus is like winning a trophy for other teams - Patrice Evra

Patrice Evra believes his fellow Juventus players have targets on their backs as they go in search of a sixth straight Serie A title.

In May, the Bianconeri became the first club since the 1940s to legitimately win five titles in a row and no one has yet managed a streak of six Scudetti.

Juve look good to break the record having bolstered their already impressive squad with the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Dani Alves and Miralem Pjanic - but doing so brings danger, according to Evra.

Ahead of Saturday evening's home meeting with Eusebio Di Francesco's ambitious Sassuolo, the French left-back told juventus.com: "It's not easy in Italy to go into games as favourites.

"Every opponent gives their absolute all as, for them, beating Juventus is like winning a trophy.

"(Sassuolo) are a dangerous side, coached by a tremendous manager. Even if we know that we're facing a difficult opponent, we need to bring home all three points.

"We're set on lifting a sixth Scudetto. That's our objective, but we need to take each game at a time.

"Over the summer, the club's management has done everything possible to improve this group and we're happy about that.

"I don't know if this is the strongest side I've ever played in. Our results at the end of the season will determine that."

While Juve's challenge has started convincingly with two opening wins, title rivals Napoli and Roma are two points back ahead of their respective games against Palermo and Sampdoria.

Napoli's hosts have this week carried out the first coaching change of the new campaign with Davide Ballardini making way for Roberto De Zerbi, whose prior position was with Lega Pro side Foggia.

Inter Milan are also expected to battle for honours under new boss Frank De Boer and are flush with cash from new Chinese owners, but they made a false start, losing on the first day before sneaking a draw.

Up next is a trip to promoted Pescara, who brought former Roma and Juve midfielder Alberto Aquilani back to Italy in the transfer window, while Inter's city rivals AC Milan host Udinese at San Siro.

Fans of English football and Manchester City will do well to focus their attentions on Atalanta's Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, where goalkeeper Joe Hart should make his debut in a Torino shirt.

Elsewhere, Bologna welcome Cagliari in Sunday's early kick-off, Chievo host Lazio in Verona and Fiorentina do battle with strong starters Genoa at the Marassi.

Monday night's match sees pointless teams Empoli and Crotone go head-to-head in Tuscany.
