Amauri wants second chance

Juventus striker Amauri is hoping he can kick-start his career with the Turin outfit after a disappointing season.

After playing 30 games last term, he managed to hit just five goals in the process and he now wants to put things right during the upcoming Serie A campaign.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "I have never thought about leaving.

"Yes, I made mistakes last season, but I want to enjoy a great campaign this year so that I can cancel that past.

"It's been a long time since enduring such a bad season. I owe it to the fans and I want to get back to my best.

"I want to stay here and prove my value. I came here to win."
