Ivory Coast to prepare Cup of Nations in Abu Dhabi

Ivory Coast's training camp for the African Cup of Nations will be held in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, the Ivory Coast Football Federation (FIF) announced Thursday.

Gabon and Equatorial Guinea will host the three-week long, biennial tournament which begins on January 21.

Ivory Coast, known as the Elephants, kick off their campaign in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea where they will play in Group B alongside Angola, Burkina Faso and Sudan.

In the lead up to the tournament they will spend the first week of January in Abu Dhabi and then play friendly matches against Tunisia on January 13 and Libya on January 17.
