Souleymane Bamba believes the injury that marred Didier Drogba's build-up the World Cup is still hampering the striker and was again evident when the Ivory Coast were beaten by Brazil on Sunday.
The Chelsea frontman broke his elbow in a friendly with Japan but recovered in time to make a substitute appearance against Portugal before returning to the starting line-up and scoring in the 3-1 defeat to Brazil.
"Didier is our captain and a massive influence on the side and it was a big disappointment with his injury," the Hibernian defender told Scotland's Daily Record. "We can tell he is still not 100% fit."
He added: "We can see he is not going into challenges as strongly now because he's scared to feel his arm again but his goal against Brazil will give him confidence."
