Courage and quality are winning ingredients

Italy's self belief in its own quality gave it the self-confidence to attack Germany and dominate the favourites throughout the 2-1 semi-final win says their coach Cesare Prandelli.

"We always tried to play, that's our strength. The lads are convinced in what we've done in these last few months," he said.

"We also showed we have the courage to attack Germany right until the end, and to try to take control on the pitch.

"We can do that because we have quality players."
