Ivankovic rues wasted opportunity

Iran coach Branko Ivankovic felt his side should have collected at least a point from Sunday's 3-1 defeat against Mexico in Nuremberg.
The first half was full of end-to-end action and finished 1-1, after Omar Bravo's 28th-minute tap-in for Mexico was cancelled out by a Yahya Golmohammadi strike.
Mexico took control of the Group D encounter after the break and secured the points thanks to Bravo's second and a goal from substitute Zinha.
"We had the chance to do something today, especially in the first half," said Ivankovic.
"We played very well and in the first half maybe we could have scored more than one goal.
"In the second half we were not so good, especially in the first half of the second half. We conceded one goal with a terrible mistake by our defensive line.
"Of course, after that it was much harder for us because the Mexico team is a big team with more experience than us and they know how to keep this result under control."
