Trotter set to stay with Ipswich

Liam Trotter is set to sign a new one-year contract with Ipswich Town despite interest from Scunthorpe United, BBC Suffolk understands. The 20-year-old midfielder was on loan at Glanford Park last season and it is believed the Iron offered him a longer-term deal than Ipswich. It was earlier thought Trotter would leave Portman Road as he had a better chance of regular games at Scunthorpe.
