Midfielder Liam Trotter has decided to stay with Ipswich Town and pen a new one-year contract at Portman Road. The 20-year-old had been a target for Scunthorpe United, having impressed while on loan with the Iron last term. He told the Evening Star: "It was a heart against head dilemma and it was a difficult choice with two very good options. "There were times when my heart said Ipswich and times when my heart said Scunthorpe. And times when my head said Ipswich and times when my head said Scunthorpe. "It was 50-50, but after speaking to my family and friends it was the belief in my ability to do well for Ipswich that made up my mind."
