Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton remains confident that loanee Francis Jeffers will be able to stay at Portman Road until the end of the season.
The Blackburn Rovers striker moved to Town four weeks ago and made three appearances before picking up a hamstring injury in the home defeat to Southend United.
He returned to Ewood Park for treatment but is now back at Ipswich after making a speedy recovery from the problem.
"Franny was determined to come back here, see the lads and carry on his rehab," Magilton told the club's official website.
"It's testimony to the skills of the Blackburn medical staff and ours that he's recovering very quickly and we'll be taking him for another scan on Friday.
"If that goes well and the signs are there that he could be back playing again soon, then we'll speak to Blackburn and ask them if we can keep him at the club until the end of the season.
"He gave everyone a lift when he came in and his quality shone through. We'd love to have him here until May."
