Town to keep Roberts

Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton has quashed reports suggesting Gary Roberts is set to leave the club.

The 23-year-old striker has been linked with a return to Accrington Stanley after struggling to break into Magilton's starting line-up recently.

However, Magilton told the Evening Star: "There's nothing in that. Gary's still very much part of my plans.

"Sometimes it can help a player to take a step back and watch from the sidelines.

"We've done that with Gary, and Alex (Bruce) last week, but they'll both be back."
