Ipswich Town have rejected an approach from Championship rivals Hull City for striker Alan Lee.
The 28-year-old hitman was the Tractor Boys' top-scorer last season with 17 goals and manager Jim Magilton is keen to keep him at Portman Road.
"Hull City made an offer for Alan and we told them we are not prepared to sell him," chairman David Sheepshanks told the Ipswich Evening Star.
"We want to keep Alan and that is the end of it as we see him as a valuable member of the team."
The Republic of Ireland international joined Ipswich in January 2006 from Cardiff City.
