Ipswich Town captain Jason De Vos believes the announcement of fresh investment can help the club reach their goal of returning to the Premier League. Local businessman Marcus Evans has revealed a proposal to takeover the club and wipe off their £32million debt before investing a further £12million in the Championship side. And De Vos, believes the cash boost can help the Tractor Boys return to the Premier League after a five-year absence. "It's great news for Ipswich Town," he told the club's official website. "Everyone knows the financial differences between the Premier League and the Championship is enormous. "Even within the Championship there are clubs that have a great deal more financial power than others. "It's a big part of football now and if someone comes in who invests sizeable amounts of money then it can only be beneficial for the club. "The long-term future of Ipswich Town looks secure and obviously that allows us as players to go about our business and hopefully win promotion to the Premier League."
