Town get it in the neck
09 Nov 2007 - 15:29:30
Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton has suffered a massive injury blow as Richard Naylor has been ruled out for up to a month because of a slipped disc in his neck.
Naylor has yet to feature for Town this season due to a toe cartilage problem which had kept him out since February.
The 30-year-old defender had been suffering from a sore neck and was sent for a scan which revealed the extent of the damage.
Magilton told the club's official website: "Richard is frustrated by the news and he would have been in contention for tomorrow.
"He had a sore neck and Richard being Richard shrugs it off and plays for the reserves against Norwich a couple of weeks ago. Then he had a bulge in his neck and we sent him for a scan and they found a slipped disc."
