Town fear for injured Kuqi

Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton has revealed Shefki Kuqi's loan return to the club could be over after less than 15 minutes.

The Finland international lasted just 11 minutes of his comeback match after being stretched off in Saturday's 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic with a serious looking hamstring problem.

Kuqi, who scored 32 goals in 88 appearances for Town before joining Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2005, had only returned to Portman Road on loan from Crystal Palace on Friday.

"I think his hamstring has gone," said Magilton. "He's in the care of the medical department now.

"We'll just have to wait and see. If that's it then that's it, but we'll move on and it will give someone else a chance.

"You could feel the ground rock when he came on with the adoration people have for him here.

"He had a thorough warm-up before he came on but football can be a very cruel game."
