Ipswich Town have wrapped up the £300,000 signing of
West ham midfielder Gavin Williams following a successful loan spell at Portman Road.
The 25-year-old Wales international has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Town, having scored once in nine appearances for the Tractor Boys.
Williams told the club's official website: "I have enjoyed it at Ipswich from the moment I arrived so it's an easy decision for me to make.
"When I first arrived I made it clear that I liked it here and a permanent move would appeal and I'm delighted it has worked out like that.
"I feel that Ipswich is a club that is heading in the right direction and if the manager can bring in a couple of new players to strengthen the squad, I don't see why we can't start moving quickly up the league."
Williams had been with the Hammers since December 2004, having joined them from Yeovil Town.
The right-sided player started his career with Conference outfit Hereford United.
