Town coy on Jeffers' future

Blackburn Rovers will decide on the future of striker Francis Jeffers at the end of the season, according to chairman John Williams.

Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton has confirmed he wants to sign the on-loan Rovers hitman on a permanent basis, but Williams has ruled out making any decisions until the summer.

Jeffers, 26, has scored three times in his injury interrupted seven-match spell at Portman Road.

"We will make a decision as to whether we want to keep Franny Jeffers at the end of the season, once we've assessed our own requirements," Williams told the Ipswich Evening Star.

"At the moment we haven't made a decision as to whether he's available or not."
