Ipswich Town defender Richard Naylor faces up to three months on the sidelines after being forced to undergo surgery on a toe injury.
The 30-year-old needs an operation to fix cartilage damage in one of his big toes and his loss is a major blow to Tractor Boys manager Jim Magilton.
He told the Evening Star: "It is frustrating for him and us. At least they have found out what the problem is and they can sort that out.
"He needs an operation to remove a piece of cartilage in a big toe and he will be missing for up to 12 weeks.
"Richard is an experienced player and a valuable member of our squad, so we will miss him."
